I lost my whole world and I don’t know why.

When I logged back in it was still Day 15, but I spawned naked as if I had just started and the world was completely fresh. I’m trying to enjoy the game but it’s making it difficult. submitted by /u/Hannuxis [link] [comments]

US retailers have huge discounts on games for their spring sales

Our US readers are in for a treat as both Best Buy and Walmart currently have a spring sale going, reducing many recent and all-time greats to low prices. With the lull before the summer showcases from publishers big and small, now is the time to play those games you’ve always been wanting to, because your gaming library will always increase throughout the year.

Although there are a few Nintendo Switch games on sale, getting them on a deal is always a rarity. Zelda: Breath of the Wild is down to just $39.99 over at Walmart, as is Super Mario Odyssey, the delightful platformer that’s still a joy to play today.

PlayStation titles are also reduced by a big chunk, with savings on some must-plays of recent years. God of War is less than $10 at Best Buy, which you must get round to playing before the Ragnarok sequel hits some time this year. And Spider-Man: Miles Morales is available for just $29.99, a wildly satisfying adventure from the masters at Insomniac. If you’ve been playing Elden Ring and want to check out one of From’s older titles, Bluepoint’s Demon’s Souls remake for the PS5 is reduced to just $39.99.

Sonic Origins Editions And Content Packs Detailed

Sega formally unveiled Sonic Origins today, a remastered and enhanced collection of classic Sonic games arriving this June. It also revealed that the title comes in two editions along with a few pre-order bonus packs.

The game’s website shares a chart (pictured above) breaking down each version of the game and various pre-order bonuses. If you’re having trouble making sense of it, we don’t blame you. It’s confusing at first glance, so here’s a plain breakdown of what it entails.

The Standard Edition, which is just the game, costs $39.99. The Digital Deluxe version runs for $44.99 and includes the game plus the following items:

  • Hard Missions
  • Letterbox background
  • Character animation in main menu
  • Camera controls over main menu islands
  • Character animations during music islands
  • Exclusive tracks from Genesis/Mega Drive titles

With us so far? Good. Now, there are three content packs, two of which are unavailable for purchase at the moment. They are:

Start Dash Pack (included with digital pre-orders of Standard or Digital Deluxe Editions)

  • 100 Medallion bonus
  • Mirror Mode unlocked
  • Letterbox background (Genesis/Mega Drive Pattern)

Premium & Classic Sound Packs (Coming soon)

  • Exclusive tracks from Genesis/Mega Drive titles

Premium Fun Pack (Coming soon)

  • Hard missions
  • Letterbox background
  • Character animation in main menu
  • Camera controls over main menu islands
  • Character animations during music islands

Basically, the Classic Sound and Fun Packs are just the bonuses included in the Digital Deluxe edition but slightly divided. Hopefully that helped you figure out what you’re getting and where.

Sonic Origins launches June 23 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.

Sonic Origins Arrives This Summer To Celebrate The Blue Blur’s Birthday

Sega has unveiled the first trailer for Sonic Origins, the remastered collection of Sonic’s best Genesis-era titles first teased last May

Origins remasters Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic 3/Knuckles, and Sonic CD with the sharper resolution, new and improved animations, and fun tweaks such as the ability to play as Sonic’s two sidekicks across any game. That’s right; you can finally smash through Sonic 1’s Marble Zone as Knuckles.

If you’d rather keep it vintage, a Classic Mode lets players enjoy these games in their original forms. Conversely, Anniversary Mode features a full-screen display and infinite lives for those who want to tour each adventure stress-free. Sonic Origins incentivizes gameplay with new in-game missions that reward medallions. Spending this currency in the game’s Vault unlocks new content and grants access to a Special Stage. Origins also sports new cutscenes in the style of Sonic Mania’s animated cinematics.

Sonic Origins launches on June 23 – Sonic’s 31st birthday – on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. The Standard Edition runs for $39.99, but there are two versions and a few content packs you can read all about here

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands: Coiled Captors DLC Revealed In New Snake-Filled Trailer

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands: Coiled Captors DLC Revealed In New Snake-Filled Trailer

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands has been out for less than a month and already, Gearbox has released the first DLC for it.

Titled Coiled Captors, this DLC seems centered on some kind of snake creature or creatures that control what’s going on in the new locale within the fleshy prison of the Mirror of Mystery. This new area looks especially frozen, with plenty of icy terrain and frost-covered enemies to defeat.

You can watch the Coiled Captors launch trailer below

As you can see, it features more of the zany and wacky adventures those who have played Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands are already familiar with. The trailer also reveals that Coiled Captors comes with a new frozen dungeon and in it, you must free the “mad god.” Gearbox says each week, the challenge evolves with powerful new gear, wondrous new cosmetics, and more.

Coiled Captors looks great, especially if you’re in need of new Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands content and fortunately, you don’t have to wait long, or at all really, because this DLC is available now.

For more, read Game Informer’s Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands review and then check out all the details we know about Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands’ season pass, which includes four content drops. Read about Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Chaos Chamber endgame dungeon after that.
